Homeless by choice, retired grey nomads previously traveling full-time for 6+ years in our own motor-home in Australia & New Zealand. With subsequent extensive house sitting experience. (Refer to linked Australia & NZ sites.) Conservative habits, non-smokers. Both from a rural backgrounds with extensive life experience. Interests include, travel, DIY handyman and gardening. Criminal history checks available and references. Expanding our motorhome/RV /Camper travels to the UK & Europe in 2024-25.
Allan and Ngaere were a dream to have. They did way more than expected and took excellent care of our animals.
They made our first house sitting experience a great one.

Allan and Ngaere were so accomodating during their recent house sit. Due to weather and health circumstances out of our control we had to come early. Lucky for us Allan & Ngaere were very understanding! The house was spotless, the dogs had obviously been well stimulated (that’s a big call with two staffies under one year old). Jamie and I had a very relaxing holiday knowing Allan and Ngaere were looking after our pets. They are clearly animal lovers and coming back to a pristine house was also awesome. Absolutely recommend these guys!

This was our first time working with a house sitter and although apprehensive Allan and Ngaere were just amazing! Immediately we were comfortable with them on our first meeting. They are very congenial, honest, friendly and down to earth people who looked after our pups and property above and beyond our expectations. I was so lucky to have Allan and Ngaere look after my home and chooks. It was also lucky that their long motorhome just fitted in the driveway. They did a wonderful job of chicken care having looked after poultry a lot in their lives, They left my house as pristine as an old house could possibly be and are friendly and reliable. If you need really good house sitters I can truly recommend them.
Everything we had to do with Allan & Ngaere was great, from contact to ongoing communication - they were cheerful and confidence-inspiring. Unfortunately, in the lead up to our planned departure, three of our family progressively contracted COVID and so we were forced into isolation and had to cancel our holiday. I want to say a big thanks to Allan and Ngaere for looking after our home and much loved dogs. They are very easy going people and take their job seriously. An example was when our dog had got hurt with a large cut on his leg and they took him to the vet and ensured he was well cared for, additionally they kept us in the loop via the phone. We immediately felt comfortable with Alan and Ngaere. They are friendly, communicative and asked all the right questions. Their attention to detail and ability to deal with things out of the ordinary that needed attention on a couple of occasions was great. This is the first time I have used Aussie Housesitters and Allan and Ngaere have set the bar very high. As soon as I met them I was reassured that everthing would be well looked after in my absence.
I arrived home to a warm welcome and a house that was clean and tidy...... even the car had been washed. Alan & Nyere house sat for us for almost 5 weeks from 9th July till 12th August 2019. They were very pleasant, highly professional and totally dedicated in looking after our property, including two dogs.
They had looked after our house as if it was their own. They also got on well with our neighbours.
Alan is truly a champion "dog whisperer". We were pleasantly surprised to note that the dogs were responding to new commands Alan had used while we were away.

Allan and Ngaere are approachable, friendly and great with animals. Excellent communication and were adaptable when our circumstances changed. House was left very clean and tidy and the bed linen had been washed! Thank you for looking after our pets so well, meant for a stress free holiday for us to know that we had caring reliable people.
Allan and Ngaere were absolutely fantastic! The house was clean, the lawns mowed and weeds magically disappeared. These 2 are a very interesting couple and I enjoyed our conversations. They were Thoughtful, honest and genuine. After they left, It's the first time my littlest dog has ever moped around for a couple of days, missing them and looking out for their return. Allan and Ngaere looked after of our dog, Max and our property over the Christmas period. After speaking with them before our departure I was confident that they would do a great job and so we were able to relax over our Christmas break.
Upon our return the house was cleaner than it was before we left, Max was soft and fluffy from being brushed and the lawns had been mown.
We would recommend Allan and Ngaere to anyone looking for someone to care for their animals and home.
Allan and Ngaere were ideal housesitters, able to adapt to the tasks that were needed to be done and adventurous in exploring the area(when fine enough!) Our tabby cat was well looked after as were the other animals. They communicated really well before and after the housesit and left the house clean and tidy and linen washed. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
Allan and Ngaere are a delightful couple who we knew immediately upon meeting them would be perfect house sitters for our two small woofs. They have a strong sense of responsibility and made sure they knew what they needed to know before we left. Our main brief to them was to love our wee boys and make them feel safe. My partner and I were fortunate enough to have Allan and Ngaere housesit fir us whilst we were on an overseas holiday.
While we were away they took excellent care of our home and even better care of our foster dog. They would regularly take our dog fir walks and fed him exactly how we asked them to .
The house was in perfect condition on our return . Allan and Ngaere were exceptionally thoughtful and caring with our home .

hello every one. if you are looking for a genuine couple to look agter your animals and house then allan and his wife are brilliant i went away for a month and left our treasured dog roxy with them. we got to have face time with her and photos and stories every so often. allan made it possible for roxy to visit one of the dogs she loves while we were away which meant a huge amount to us and her . otherwise she may have pined. when i got back my house was shining and the garden jobs that were ...
